The print campaign images for John Galliano's latest installment of his Lady Dior saga are out.
Just as the title says Marion Cotillard has been the face of the new films by the House of Dior, teh collection called Lady Dior that is presented in the films is a saga of the adventurs of Lady Dior, a fabulous and extravagant lady who travels around the world.
The films showcase the Lady Dior Handbag and so far the House has giving us 3 films ( the 3rd one is about to be release).
The first film called "The Lady Noire Affair" is set in Paris, it's not just any commercial: It's a six-minute short film , directed by Olivier Dahan, who was the director of Cotillard's Oscar-winning film about the life of Edith Piaf, La Vie en rose. The focus may be the handbag, but the commercial (titled The Lady Noire Affair) is much more about Cotillard than what she carries with her.
In the second film Dior presents "Lady Rouge" as the sequel to this very sexy ad campaign.Actress Marion Cotillard reclaims her position as a seriously seductive femenine ttale in the Jonas Akerlund-directed film but this time, she’s singing. In the short film (or music video, depends the way you see it)she rocks the stage with British band Franz Ferdinand as she sings The Eyes of Mars a song written by the band exclusively for the film.
In the third of a four-part series, Marion Cotillard stars in the Steven Klein-lensed photographs with Sanghai's futuristic skyscrapers in the distance. Titled "Lady Blue" ,the still images will be followed by a David Lynch-directed film to be released online on May 15.
The short film will show Cotillard in a mysterious entanglement with secret agents, highlighting Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower in the background, like the Brooklyn Bridge and the Eiffel Tower were used in the first two episodes. Galliano said of the 12-minute film: “Marion is reciting a poem that [David Lynch] wrote, and was inspired by the Pearl Tower itself. The words and building fuse in the picture he paints on-screen. Shanghai is such a vibrant and inspiring city.”
