Several designer labels, including Burberry, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Carven and Rag & Bone, have added fur sleeves to their coats and jackets for fall. And they look amazing. The arms add a sense of strength, but also a sense of fun and warmth. I love the YSL black jacket, so dreamy!

If you add up horses, accesories , fashion, equestrianism and Ralph Lauren you are going to end up with an amazing Hermes-like collection from RL,thats why my pick for this week it is the Equestrian Collection of Ralph Lauren (dont confuse equestrianism with country-cowboy style) , I know it is not the great prices but it is undeniable an amazing collection. I specifically love the boots and the handbag . Love , love , love !!!
And then another year went by and the Fall season arrived, and as every year I was anxious to know who would be the designer making a collaboration with H&M, just before the summer when I found out that my darling Donatella Versace was going to be the one collaborating with H&M I almost pee myself, just the thought of having a bunch of Versace's designs at affordable prices it was almost a dream.
Counting down the days, saving some extra cash and kept looking at the H&M website everyother day anxious to see what was the collection was going to look like it was what had me motivated.
The day was geting closer (Nov 19 -2011 released day of the collection) and my anxiety was getting bigger as I knew it will be literally a wild human jungle in the stores.
On Friday November 18,2011 the "Weather Channel" predicted a -5 C temperature and definetely snow and ice during the night, WHHAAAAAAAT??? this cant be happening to me , by 7 PM Twitter was telling me that outside H&M there was a 100 people line-up already waiting for the Saturday morning open of the store (8AM) , I obviously freaked out!!!!!!!
" I have to be there and I have to get at least a little something of that collection and not be sold out like my failure last year " ( "Lanvin + H&M + Me = Failure" http://yukiandbee.blogspot.com/2010/12/lanvin-h-me-failure.html )
At 10 PM at home I was trying to find the warmest jacket that I own , gloves, a hat and anything that could keep me warm through the night because I was thinking the only way I am going to put my hands-on in any of the garmets it is if I go there and camp all night until the morning (obviously when I say "camping" I dont mean put up a tent there, but literally sleep outside on the streets).
I got to the outside of the store around 10:45 PM, around 200 people already waiting there and I joined the line , the minutes went by (tick , tock, tick , tock , tick, tock) "whaatt?? How come its only been 45 minutes since I arrived here?, It's felt like 4 hours!!!"
The night went by in between sleeping in the street and fixing my fur coat until my friend Teresa came to the rescue (5:30 AM) with a nice cup of coffee , I felt how my soul came back to my body as for instants I thought I was going to die of coldness.
The minutes kept going by and the time of the opening was getting closer and I was just so excited to go into the store, H&M people came out (7AM) and gave us those bracelets that assured us a place in-line to go into the women's collection, in the meantime I had to go and line-up for the men's side of the store, screaming, fighting , pushing and nervousness was in the air, but I still had so much faith that I will get some of the stuff that I wanted (especially that black-green jacket that I have been dreaming about for the last few weeks -see photo below-)
The store opened and here I gooooo, "Run Lola Run" and try to grab as much as you can and yeah I was making a pile of the stuff that I could take but no signs of my jacket, except that I could see it in some other people already wearing it (and probably posting it on e-bay for re-selling, FREAKERS!!). So my hands were jacket-free, no jacket for me as it was SOLD OUT :( , Oh well at least I got a chance to get some other stuff so overall it was a successful first shopping round.
9:40 AM was when the second round came (women's collection) I already had on mind what I wanted ( well only 2 pieces a faux fur vest -see below- and a necklace) but guess what? Obviously the vest was sold out but luckily for me there were still 2 necklaces left yeahhhhh!! one for me and one for Teresa ,I mean well I ended up as well with a pair of crazy red pants!!!
After all do I consider this shopping experience a success? I think so. And I will be ready for next year ( and obviously boxing day before that)
Here are the outfits that I got from the Versace for H&M Collection.
Yes I have to admit that I do like the Barney's Lady Gaga's Workshop, which is a collection that offers a variety of items that includes accesories, home decor and even candy !!! The shop also sells stuffed animals, books Gaga read in her childhood, and an exclusive jewelry line, a collaboration with Erickson Beamon, which donates 25 percent of all the proceeds to Gaga’s newly-created Born This Way Foundation.
Gaga herself dressed on a beautiful white Karl Lagerfeld's gown was in the store on Nov 21 - 2011 to cut a ribbon and open the collection to the public, and after that the store remained open all night to welcome all the customers.
The store is a little monster’s fantasyland of goodies. But how do they think any normal person can afford the items for sale? They are quite pricey and they are not even high quality so I dont really understand.
I do like the collection I just would not pay for what they are asking for .
Judge for yourself , these are my favourite items:
It almost makes me want to join the Army or go to the jungle, this collection is amazing, I do not know if there would be a lot of guys daring to wear them (I would ) but it is an exquisite collection, yeah I know there is no much summer where I live but I would still wear this even if I was freezing my face off. Love you Ricardo Tisci , this is Major.!! The MEN SKIRTS, any men stylist dream!!!
And then again I found another celebrity-designer going into the kid's market, this time a Gwen Stefani collection for Target "Harajuku Mini For Target" is adorable. I wish I was a kid and I wish had the opportunity to purchase the entire collection (it doesnt mean that just because I am not a kid that's gonna stop me to get 1 or 2 things).
The prices are crazy (obviously Target prices) , the garmets are playful , fun and modern. The Harajuku Mini clothes – designed for boys and girls – are completely adorable and include everything from animal-inspired hoodies to tutus and everything in between.
I sooooo need one of those really big furry hats from "The Row" , what else can I ask for all my favourite things mixed in 1 piece : Luxury, oversize, furry and scandalous. Love, love , love!!
I must get one (or two) especially since "weather people" is saying this year is going to be a hell of a winter (one of the coldest ever) . This is major!!
